Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International Triangle/Eastern North Carolina Chapter - The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) was founded in 1970 by parents of children with type 1 diabetes.  The Triangle/Eastern NC Chapter of JDRF established its first chapter office in 1996.  The chapter territory covers 51 counties in eastern North Carolina, ranging from the Triangle region to the coast. www.jdrftriangle.org/ 

North Carolina Health Choice (NCHC) for Children - N.C. Health Choice (NCHC)is a fee-for-service program providing free or low-cost health insurance for children and teens up to their 19th birthday. The benefits covered by NCHC are the same as the benefits covered by the State Employees Health Plan. Vision, dental, and hearing services are also covered and follow the same guidelines as Medicaid.

Providers submit claims to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of N.C. (BCBSNC) for processing using the State Employees Health Plan claim form. Any licensed provider in North Carolina can provide services to NCHC recipients. It is not necessary for providers to enroll with BCBSNC to provide services and submit claims, but claims submitted by BCBSNC providers generally process for payment quicker than claims submitted by providers who are not enrolled with BCBSNC.
